University of Connecticut Sponsors Food Drive and Welcomes Broadway Actress - Waterbury, Connecticut - April 30, 2009

My platform with the Miss America Organization is to Inspire Volunteering through the Arts. We were able to sponsor a canned food drive through the University of Connecticut and were honored to have a very special guest performer. Mary Beth Piel from Broadway's "The King and I" and the hit television series "Dawson's Creek" delighted the audience with a brilliant one woman show. She was absolutely wonderful to talk with, and is such an incredible talent.

Connecticut Talent Jamboree - Southington, Connecticut - April 26, 2009

The Miss Connecticut America organization held a special talent jamboree which allowed the everyone the opportunity to perform a selected song or dance. I was so excited to present the grand prize on stage and see all of the talented acts in our state!!

My Fitting At Crowning Touch - Massachusetts - April 17, 2009

My Business Manager Kimberly, her daughter Delilah and I once again are on the road! This time, we are headed to Massachusetts to try on the official swimsuits for Miss Connecticut. We couldn't take pictures of the gowns!

Special Visit to The Connecticut Children's Medical Center - East Hartford, Connecticut - April 11, 2009

As Miss Nutmeg, I was honored to have the opportunity to visit the CT Children's Medical Center, in support of the Miss America national platform - the Children's Miracle Network. This wonderful experience allowed me to see firsthand the impact of our individual efforts in fudraising for a cause that we truly believe in. We were given a special tour of the facilities and had the chance to see the incredible and loving work done on behalf of all of the children needing medical attention in our state.

Arts and Crafts Event with the Easter Bunny - Watertown, Connecticut - April 11, 2009

Happy Easter!!

My first appearance as Miss Nutmeg was at the Watertown Bunny Hippity Hop Easter Event. It was a wonderful day of arts and crafts, along with some Easter goodies to share! The best part of the day was seeing the children light up at the sight of the Easter Bunny, and leading the Easter Parade along with Miss Northeast and Miss Greater Watertown!
