- I am incredibly honored to have the title of Miss Nutmeg 2009! My involvement with the Miss America Organization began with my desire to promote both higher education and service. As a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and being named a Babbidge Scholar for obtaining a 4.0 gpa, I strive to promote the educational componant of the Miss Ct system. As an avid volunteer since the age of 9, I have a true desire to motivate the young people of my state to follow the path to brighter tomorrow through the service projects that are pivitol points on all levels of the Miss America Crown; be it a local, state or national title.
